La Maison Jaune : Historic Villa, River View & Hot Tub

La Maison Jaune stands on the hillside of Pointe-au-Pic, directly above the St. Lawrence, with the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu as its neighbour and the pier a few steps below. From almost every room, the river fills the windows.

The house sleeps eight across four bedrooms — one king, two queen and two single beds — and has three and a half bathrooms, two of them with claw-foot tubs. Inside: wood-panelled living rooms, a fireplace, a piano, and a dining room large enough to seat the whole group. A deck wraps around the house on the river side, and the private hot tub is open year-round, day and night.

The kitchen is fully equipped — dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, wine glasses and everything needed to cook for eight. There is a washer and dryer in the house, central air conditioning and heating, fast Wi-Fi, a private barbecue, outdoor dining and free parking in the garage.

Downtown La Malbaie and the Casino de Charlevoix are five minutes away by car; Saint-Irénée beach and Domaine Forget about fifteen; Mont Grand-Fonds twenty; Le Massif de Charlevoix and Baie-Saint-Paul under an hour. Whale watching at Tadoussac and the Hautes-Gorges national park both make easy day trips.
